Today more health insurance companies are covering the cost of acupuncture treatments. Occasionally there is coverage by Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, United Health Care, Veteran’s Affairs, Personal Injury and Worker’s Compensation.
Each of these insurers offers different plans, some of which include acupuncture benefits and some of which will not.
By contacting us today we can begin the process of verifying your insurance benefits through your insurance provider. Some of the answers we will obtain for you are:
- Does your policy cover acupuncture?
- Does your coverage have any exclusions or limitations?
- Do you have in or out-of-network coverage?
- Do you have an annual deductible?
- Do you have a co-payment or co-insurance?
- Do you have an annual visit limit?
If your policy covers our treatments, we will bill your insurance provider for our services. If our services are not covered under your plan, you will be informed of alternate payment options for future treatments. We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.
Patients paying at the time of service can enjoy some savings by purchasing a package. Our packages include discounts for pre-paying for your treatments.

FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS (FSA) or HEALTH SPENDING ACCOUNTS (HSA)
If you have a corporate FSA that covers acupuncture we still require full payment at time of service. We can provide the necessary document to send to your health insurance to obtain reimbursement. Because insurance plans differ, the amount of reimbursement differs. No guarantees can be made of how much, if any, fees will be covered by your insurance provider. It is each patient’s responsibility to work with their insurance company to determine reimbursement. Please check with your human resources representative for details.
CANCELLATION POLICY
While we do understand things come up, if you need to cancel your appointment please let us know with 24 hour notice. For cancellations within 24 hours of appointment time or no-shows, the full cost of treatment will be applied.
If you are 15 minutes or more late to your appointment, this may forfeit your treatment time and we reserve the right to charge you the no-show fee.
Appointment reminder emails are complimentary and cannot be guaranteed. It is the patient’s responsibility to keep the appointment. We appreciate your prompt arrival to scheduled appointments.
