Epsom salt for pain

Recently I had a booth at a festival and many of you had pain related questions for me. I know that I’ve mentioned epsom salt baths for pain a couple times lately, but I think their benefits can’t be touted enough!

An epsom salt bath soak is a wonderful way to reduce muscular aches and pains. Epsom salts are made of the compound magnesium sulfate, which plays an essential role in the way our bodies function.

Magnesium helps to regulate over 325 enzyme activities in the body, keeping bodily functions running smoothly. Including muscle control, electrical impulses, energy production and eliminating of harmful toxins. Sulfate also plays an important role in the formation of brain tissue and joint proteins, and it can strengthen the walls of the digestive tract.

Because of industrial farming techniques and changes in agriculture, most of the soil in our country is magnesium deficient. Therefore Many Americans suffer from a magnesium deficiency, which can be a factor in many common health issues including heart disease, stroke, osteoporosis, arthritis and joint pain, chronic fatigue and more.

BONUS! Epsom salts also help to:

  • Reduce stress
  • Soften skin
  • Regulate the bowels
  • Improve sleep quality

To use: Add 2-4 cups of epsom salts to a warm bath and soak for 20 minutes. Can be repeated up to 3 times a week for better effect.

Epsom salts are not only for pain, but they have so many other benefits. Read my blog about FLOAT THERAPY and MAGNESIUM.
