Bring in the Spring

The Spring Equinox has arrived heralding the coming of warmer weather and longer days. YES! Bring in the Spring!

This is a great time of year for letting things go (ideas, habits, relationships, stuff) that no longer serve you. And by “serving you” I mean anything that makes you feel bad, feel stressed out, feel anxious, feel claustrophobic, etc. Spring cleaning not just your home, but your life in general. I encourage you to take advantage of the energy of renewal and growth to reevaluate the things that do not bring you happiness or add positive value to your life experience. Time to shed, people!

My favorite ways to leave winter behind and get excited about the next few months are to:

  • Pack away winter clothes
  • De-clutter closets and areas that didn’t get much use over the winter months (throw away, recycle, and donate)
  • Clean AND smudge my entire home
  • Look at my calendar and plan possible trips/getaways for the rest of the year (MY FAVORITE PART!)
  • Move my body (exercise, dance, yoga, etc.)

Spring is a time for expansion…physically, mentally, and spiritually. Don’t be afraid to push your boundaries and get a little outside of your comfort zone. Isn’t being a bit uncomfortable for awhile worth it to possibly find something great?! I think so. If you’re not yet ready for that I hope you at least think about it.



Go for that job. Take that trip. Ask out that person you’ve been thinking about. Have an honest conversation. Set boundaries. Say no. Say yes. Speak your mind. Take a nap. Let your heart be your guide. Follow your bliss. You are the creator of your life experience, you got this. Onward and upward, my fellow adventurers!
