I’ve got a job for you this summer! It’s easy. Your job is to use ALL of your senses and get really present. Being fully aware of what your physical body is experiencing is a sure fire way to slow time and sink into the moment. So…
TASTE – there are so many delicious summer treats! From frozen to fruity, I’m encouraging you to concentrate on what your taste buds are telling you.
FEEL – soaking up solar rays can be so indulgent. And isn’t feeling the wind in your hair wildly freeing? And immersing yourself in the water of a lake or ocean can be greatly restorative.
SMELL – the fragrances of summer are very distinct. Whether it’s freshly cut grass, the smell of sunblock (or bug spray), or something tasty on the bbq, it just makes you feel good.
SEE – drink in the beautiful summer skies. So much to see with brilliant sunrises, sultry sunsets, starry nights, and summer storms. It really is a feast for the eyes.
LISTEN – sounds of the summer vary greatly depending on where you are. It may be kids playing in the sprinklers, nighttime crickets, the wind in the trees, or music from an outdoor concert. Whatever it is, it’s all good.
